Savanna
“earth which drinketh in the rain”
Our neighborhood is a rectangular chunk of land bordered on the north by this savanna. At Christmastime we had a lot of rain which flooded the plain. For those of you who might appreciate my weird sense of humor, “the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain,” but the wateh in Guyana soaks savanna.
Sounds like something Mom would come up with!
